Almost 3,000 stylists from all over the world came together in Stockholm on October 2nd and 3rd to celebrate the well-known artistic event, the Global Zoom Event – an event with a unique international and inspiring ambiance.

After an exciting Welcome Session, that gave the audience a sneak peek into the future of Goldwell & KMS, it was time to start the Color Zoom Challenge with hairdressers from across the globe. Stylists participated in 3 different categories (Partner, Creative & New Talent) where they were tasked with recreating their winning Goldwell Color Zoom D!SRUPT Collection look. On Sunday, October 2nd, all 94 national finalists from 37 different countries competed live and simultaneously. They were cheered on by nearly 3,000 of their fellow international stylists.

Three Australian hairdressers, Alexandra Kontos, Larissa Bresnehan and Christina Fuglsang, all from Nischler Salon in Tasmania, represented the country as national winners in categories of Partner Colorist, Creative Colorist and New Talent Colorist, respectively. The Australian team came to the event with a history of success, with Alex representing Australia at last year’s event in Las Vegas and Larissa winning Global bronze for the creative category in 2014.

This year, the team’s success was heightened when Larissa won GOLD in the Global Creative Category, alongside Sargis Airapetian from Russia who won gold for Global New Talent category & Daniel Rubin from the USA who won gold for Global Partner Colorist.

The three global winners become part of the Color Zoom Creative Team where they are tasked with the challenge of creating the 2018 Color Zoom collection – a collection that inspires the entire hairdressing world. Their work will be showcased in the worldwide Color Zoom campaign & they will be profiled as top international stylists, an opportunity like no other.

Meanwhile, Alexandra Kontos was awarded Bronze in the Global Partner Category, a challenging category that sees some of the very best stylists from around the world fighting it out to take home the gold title.

Congratulations to all three girls, who gave it their all & did an exceptional job.
