IN•FLUX

THE CONCEPT

Color, cut, styling and texture.

Fashion trends evolve from year to year by building on and impacting each other, slightly changing in character – but always typified by the design elements of color, cut/shape and styling/texture. These are the elements that link the different fashion looks and make every collection unique.
Color Zoom is based on fashion trends, and it also uses these trends for inspiration.

This collection showcases the design elements in hair with Iridescent Colors, confident cuts/shapes and expressive styles/textures.
Be enchanted by the fluidity, discover the darkness, let the iridescence illuminate and create your IN•FLUX look.

COLOR

THE IRIDESCENT EFFECT – THE MYSTICAL COLOR SECRET TO CREATING FLUIDITY

The interaction of dark, mystic background colors in contrast with forceful, magnetic colors creates this Iridescent Effect – the color statement made by the IN•FLUX Collection. The Iridescent Effect is characterized by root shading and dark colors underneath combined with dynamic, eccentric colors on the surface. A mystical background is the perfect platform for showcasing the vivid Iridescent Colors on the surface. In parallel, the root shading creates depth and the dark contouring emphasizes the outlines – while the shimmering colors trace the structure of the cut.

The Iridescent Colors are applied to individual hair strands by intuitive and creative Handpainting. You can integrate more extensive or wispy Iridescent Effects by seamlessly blending the colors or positioning them beside each other. Thereby the color mass influences the intensity of the Iridescent Colors and therefore also the Iridescent Effect.

CUT

CUT STRONG OUTLINES

We create dynamic seamlessness by combining different shapes and lengths in one haircut. One typical shape in the IN•FLUX Collection is the triangle. Triangles are evident in all the fringes.

In contrast the shape of the nape is convex. Blunt Cutting in combination with the Dark Background emphasizes the strong contours of the cut.

Over-layered elements, such as wispy strands and veils, are used to soften the cut. Moving from short to long hair is another way of creating fluidity.

The cut techniques which were used to create this collection are Back-Hand-Slice Cutting, (Deep) Point Cutting, (Deep) Slice Cutting and Step-Cutting.

STYLING AND TEXTURE

FLUID STYLING AND TEXTURE

All looks are styled with flattened roots and overall sleekness in shape. The source element of all styles is a center parting. For styling variations the looks of the IN•FLUX Collection can have soft waves and rough texture which further emphasize the root shading.

Textured silhouettes contrast with dancing wispy pieces, emphasizing the cut for each look and perfectly showcasing the Iridescent Effect in each style. To highlight the facial bone structure, the looks are styled into the face or blown out of it.

IRIDESCENT BLUE, GOLD AND VIOLET

A PSYCHEDELIC SURFACE – LIKE OIL IN A PUDDLE.

  • COLOR

Alina’s Iridescent Effect is created by the tones of Electric Violet, Azure Blue and Pale Grey floating together on a Noir Blue background. The regrowth shadow is the key element in this color technique, and it creates contour and depth. The spin of Acid Gold outlines the fringe and melts into the Azure Blue, creating a moody atmosphere. The combination of all Iridescent Colors perfectly emphasizes the shape of the cut, adding the element of fluidity through the entire range of seamless.

  • CUT AND STYLING

    STRUCTURED SECTIONS WITH OVER LAYERS

A combination of a short undercut and a structured section with over layers on top. Alina’s haircut is based on a convex nape section with a clean contour and strong outlines. Reduce the length with Block Graduation to create the internal rounded triangular shape. In parallel there is movement on the top section. Cut the disconnected fringe section with Point Cutting to create this shape. Use Deep Slice Cutting to reduce volume and create a textured surface which allows the hair to move with every step.

  • TEXTURE AND STYLE

    FLUID SOFTNESS IN FACE

Alina’s style perfectly frames her face and showcases the Iridescent Effect at its best. To get this fluid softness, apply StyleSign Power Whip through the hair. Blow dry the hair straight from the right side over the face to create a soft flow using a small paddle brush. Then shape the style with a flat iron. Use StyleSign Magic Finish to add intense shine and flexible hold.

FLUID BEIGE, GREY, PINK

COLOR FLUIDITY THROUGH THE VEIL.

  • COLOR

Ida Marie’s Iridescent Effect highlights the geometric elements of the cut as well as providing a strong contrast to the veil of her bowl bob. The Acid Gold and Light Pink reflections against the Pale Grey is a color combination that adds movement, defining the lines and merging the two shapes to create fluidity in shape and color.

  • CUT AND STYLING

    CREATING MOVEMENT WITH VEILS

This edgy cut with a veil on top allows the hair to move freely. The bowl bob features a strong, round outline that contrasts with the structured veil on top. Use Blunt Cutting to create the convex outline and internal convex graduation. Emphasize the shape of the cut with Step Cutting to reduce length and volume, while at the same time creating a feathery structure on the surface. Finish off with Deep Slice Cutting to soften the convex bowl bob shape and enhance the Iridescent Effect.

  • TEXTURE AND STYLE

    FROM STRUCTURE TO MOVEMENT

This style is characterized by structured hair strands on top and a sleek contour underneath. To achieve this contrasting look apply StyleSign Smooth Control through the hair. Blow dry the hair into shape using a paddle brush. Use a medium-sized flat iron to create soft-textured waves through the lengths and ends on top.
Structure the waves with StyleSign Texturizer for a matte shine.

BLACK PLUM, PINK AND VIOLET MOVING FREELY

A DYNAMIC COLOR SPECTRUM FROM SOFT TO LIGHT.

  • COLOR

Julie’s Black Plum background, with a subtle violet-red character allows the Iridescent Colors to move freely on the long wisps with soft, multi-dimensional grading. The Mauvy Pink contrasts with Acid Gold to add a unique visual effect extending from solidity to seamless fluidity. The Acid Gold against the Electric Violet dilutes the dynamic color spectrum from deep to light and from solid to soft.

  • CUT AND STYLING

    MICRO FRINGE AGAINST LONG VEILS

Julie’s style is an interpretation of a modern mullet. The key elements of this cut are the micro triangle fringe against the long wispy pieces and the concave nape. Internal layering is used to create a convex shape. The even graduation above the areas around the ears is achieved with Point Cutting and is connected to the long sides with Back Hand Slice Cutting. Outline the cut using Deep Slice Cutting in combination with Deep Point Cutting to create fluid texture down to the tips and a structured surface with a raw feel.

  • TEXTURE AND STYLE

    WISPY PIECES FRAME THE FACE

A micro fringe combined with flattened roots and longer strands at the side – a perfect style to bring out the best features of a bold and confident face. Apply a small amount of StyleSign Flat Marvel onto the hair. Blow dry into shape without creating volume by using a small paddle brush. Create texture at the sides and fringe with your fingers by using StyleSign Showcaser. Twist the wispy pieces towards the face.
